Hey there, welcome to Gourmand Candle! We're thrilled to have you here. Below you'll find the info you need to know before you start shopping.

Shipping and Handling Policy

We take pride in getting your order to you fast! We process all orders within 1-2 business days, and ship them via Australia Post for a flat-rate of $9.57 (July, 2023) . Delivery time usually takes between 3-8 business days in Australian metro areas, while regional areas may take a bit longer. For specific delivery info, reach out to Australia Post using the tracking number we provided with every order. Don't worry, we are also keeping an eye on your goodies all the way!

If the customer provide incorrect address and the parcel is returned to us, there's a returning fee that Auspost charged us for the return delivery (most likely equal the postage cost we sent to you). This fee will then be transferred to you + addition shipping fee to resend, if you still want the parcel. So please be careful when entering your shipping address! :) 


Return Policy

We want you to love your Gourmand Candle! While we don't offer returns or refunds for changes of mind, or for our fragrance strength and mix are not up to your expectation, we do offer refunds for items that are damaged or defective due to a manufacturing fault. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact us at hello@gourmandcandle.com.au ASAP with photographic evidence of the package, your shipping label, and the product/s detailing the incident or damage. If we need the item returned for investigation, we'll provide a return shipping label and instructions. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted/exchanged/refunded or returned back.

If you are not satisfied, we can offer a refund, return, or resend our product. This is a lifetime guarantee. So at anytime our products malfunctioned or arrived broken, or for any reason you are not happy with our product/service (except for the fragrance related reason stated above) , please reach out.

If you are eligible for a refund, we will refund 100% of you order total (product + shipping). Please note that it can take up to 5 business days for the fund to clear from our end.

Instead of refund, we can offer to resend our product, with no cost incurred if the products are defect due to manufacturing or damage during transit.


Having said all that, we are pretty flexible and understanding. Please reach out and explain the situation. We will work out an amicable solution.

What type of wax is used to make your candles?

Soy wax blend

Is it normal for the flame to be a bit large?

If the flame of your candle is too big or burning too tall, it could be a sign that you forgot to trim the wick or remove any excess carbon build-up before lighting it.

Our candles are crafted to provide a bold flam, so you can achieve maximum scent throw faster. However, if you notice that the flames are flickering excessively or are too tall, it could be an indication of an untrimmed wick. We recommend extinguishing the candle, allowing the wax to set, and then trimming the wiack to an appropriate length before relighting.

How long does your candle last?

The duration of our candles varies from 40-45 hours depending on usage. For optimal candle lifespan, we suggest following our candle care guidelines.

The wax inside the jar is moving?

During shipping transit, candles may sit in a cold warehouse, causing the wax to pull in and separate from the container. This is completely normal and should not impact performance. When lighting the candle, the heat will redistribute the wax and it will adhere back to the container. This is one of the draw back of plant wax.

Return and refund policy

If the product you receive is damaged or has a defect due to manufacturing, which affects its performance or makes it unusable, we offer a refund or return. However, we do not offer refunds or returns for changes of mind or if the fragrance strength is not up to your personal standard, as fragrance strength is subjective and varies between individuals.

Shipping policy

We use Australia Post Parcel service to send all our parcels. If you select the Express option, it will be sent via Express Post service. Shipping time may vary depending on your location. You will receive a tracking number via email upon dispatch. Please note that we have no control over the speed of shipping. If you feel that your parcel is taking too long to arrive, please reach out to us and we will investigate the matter for you.
